The ‘One World, One Love’ Ketubah
This Ketubah conjures a vibrant colour palette that rejoices with all the colours of the wind. Here delicate water colour paint splashes are layered to create an intricate tapestry that echoes the vitality and harmony of nature. For this Ketubah, the text was configured into a circular format and placed in the centre of the square permitting visual symmetry and alignment.
The exploration of a square format is a contemporary rendition for traditionally rectangular Ketubah, whilst the contrast between the straight edges and curved text creates an exciting dynamic. Circles are essential forms that are iterated throughout the universe; the sun, the moon, the planets and the eyes’ iris amongst other occurrences. In this way the Ketubah is a sonnet to cyclic movement, seasons, wholeness and this recurring motif of circles, like love, has no end.
