Heralding the vitality and life force of water, oceanic ripples overlay the Ketubah in a veiled blanket. This ripple texture is dispensed with an opacity filter of 18% (symbolizing ‘יח- Chai’) which perpetuates the motif of life (for which water is an essential ingredient), regeneration and growth.
The couples’ initials are painted in an iridescent silver. This metallic surface radiates with a shimmering fire, capturing the sparkle of the sun dancing and dappling on the oceans surface.
Other variations during the Ketubah design development and experimentation phase considered the potential inclusion of gestural brushstrokes.
